Desiree Habicht has been a southern California artist for most of her life. Primarily self-taught she works in watercolors, pastels, acrylics, fabric and mixed media. Desiree’s professional career began as a muralist for the interior design industry, working in Hawaii and California for prominent interior design firms. Her work has been displayed in private estates, corporate offices, model homes and design centers.
Desiree’s love of nature and the outdoors has a strong influence on her art. As an avidhorticulturalist she is always looking to involve the bright, bold colors that are found in nature in her works. Her style is representational with a flair for color and vibrancy. Upon viewing her art one senses her exuberance and zest for life. Desiree is an award winning artist and many of her works are featured in galleries, museums, numerous publications and private collections. She is a member of Watercolor West, Pastel Society of Southern California, Studio Art Quilters Association, a member of the Riverside Art Museum and she is on the board of PAAR which is the Plein Air Artists of Riverside.
